Directions The FFAST Museum and Collection are 2-3 kms from Fiesole, at via di Vincigliata, 2.

The easiest way to the Ffast Collection is by car:

By car you drive straight through Fiesole towards the north (the main road) and turn right after 1 1/2 km, towards Vincigliata and Settignano. Villa Peyron is the first gate on the right.

Alternatively, you can drive from Ponte a Mensola on the same via di Vincigliate but at the eastern end) towards Fiesole (about 5 kms): FFAST and Villa Peyron are at the last gate before Fiesole on the left.

Also: you can drive through Settignano heading north, and follow the signs to Fiesole. Eventually that road merges with the via di Vincigliata, and you continue to no. 2.

From Florence: Follow the signs to San Domenico/Fiesole. In Fiesole go straight through the Main/ Cathedral (Duomo) and Municipio (Town Hall) square, on up the hill on the same main road heading north.
About ½ km beyond Fiesole take the right-hand turning marked Vincigliata.
Go about another ½ km on the Vincigliata road to the first Villa on the right at no.2: this is Villa al Bosco di Fonte Lucente - Villa Peyron.

From the East of Florence: Follow signs in Florence to Coverciano/Ponte a Mensola/Settignano. At Ponte a Mensola, either go right after the bridge into the via di Vincigliata, and follow it some 4kms past Villa I Tatti (Harvard’s Institute of Renaissance Studies) along many steep curves, and through woods, past the Castello di Vincigliata, and the Villa di Poggio, until you come to Villa al Bosco di Fonte Lucente - Villa Peyron, at no.2;
or, at Ponte a Mesola, go straight across the bridge, and up a series of curves about 1 ½ kms, to Settignano.

Go on straight through Settignano and on up the road to Fiesole (at the Monument keep to the right fork), until a steep T-junction – take the right fork again, up past a sign to Compiobbi, then past 5 or 6 Villas and farms, into some woods for about 1 km, past Villa di Poggio, to Villa di Bosco al Fontelucente – Villa Peyron, on the left.

Public Transport:

The Florence city bus no. 7 runs from Pz San Marco in Florence to Fiesole Pz Duomo (the end of the line) every 20-30 minutes. The trip takes about 30 minutes. You must have a bus ticket when you board the bus and use the machine in the bus - again as you board - to stamp the time and date of your use. The ticket is good all the way to the Villa Peyron and the FFAST Collection if the whole trip takes under an hour. If the trip takes more time, a second ticket and a second stamp are necessary.

The no. 47 bus runs from Pz Duomo in Fiesole to the stop at Villa Peyron at the following times on Mondays through Saturdays: 7.23, 9.08, 11.23, 13.13, 15.10, 16,13, 19.13 (subject to change); Sundays: 9.03,10.43, 12.28, 16.03, 17.53, 19.28. The trip takes 5-10 minutes.

The same bus runs in the opposite direction from Rio Torto (50 yards from the gate at Villa Peyron) to Pz Duomo Fiesole, Mondays through Saturdays at: 6.35, 7.55, 10.35, 12.20, 15.25, 18.30; Sundays: 8.20, 10.00, 11.45, 15.20, 17.10, 18.45.

You can also get onto ‘hop-on, hop-off’ tourist buses which have itineraries including Fiesole, getting off the bus to visit Fiesole and the Villa Peyron, and then rejoining a later bus when your visits are finished.
